The Justice of God and Man
God is Just
The gospel of Jesus Christ demonstrates the justice of God and how the love
of God works. Man's system of justice falls short when compared to God's
ways. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and
to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9. Though your sins be as
scarlet, they shall be as wool. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be
white as snow. Isaiah 1:18
In human justice when the debt is paid, the record remains whereas in
God's justice the record is wiped clean. God's mission is to save us from the
penalty of sin and give us eternal life. When we confess our sins, God erases
the record and remembers our sins no more. God provided the lamb and paid
the debt for our sins. Praise our Lord for His great love for us.
King David prayed for God's mercy and his justice to cover his sins and
create a right relationship. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me,
and I shall be whiter than snow. ... Hide they face from my sins, and blot out all
mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within
me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto
thee. Psalm 51:7-13.
The prophet Isaiah declares I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions
for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Isaiah 43:25.
