VERDE VALLEY ADVENTIST SCHOOL CELEBRATES
90 YEARS
VVAS is pleased to announce 90 years of operation. A celebration is planned Sunday, May 1. All are welcome to attend 1 to 5 pm.
The Verde Valley Adventist School started in 1932 in a wooden one room structure near Main and Cherry Streets in Cottonwood. In the early 1950's the school moved to 10th Street and recently moved to the present location on the corner of Mingus and Willard Streets.
The celebration will include stories and pictures of the school and Family Fun events. Free Admission to Art Booths, Bouncy House, Face Painting, Story Telling, Health Ministries and live music. There will be a small fee for Silent Auction, Drawings, Bake Sale, and the barbeque. Come and bring a friend.
All are invited to come for a fun celebration. Verde Valley Adventist School is located at 51 Mingus Avenue, (Corner Mingus and Willard), Cottonwood, Arizona.
Phone 928 634 7322. Our teacher, Cheri Jenkins will be available to give information about the school.
The Cottonwood SDA Church is saddened with the passing of John Allen.
We extend our sympathies to Anne and family. The family requests no telephone calls, visits or food at this time. May God bring comfort and healing to the family and friends of our dear Brother John.
John has been the flagship captain and leader of the Audio Visual Department at the church for the last several years. We thank you John for your service. He served as elder and blessed us with his sermons and played the harmonica in the bluegrass band.
A Memorial Service for John Allen will be Saturday, July 10, 2021 - 4 pm.at

The Cottonwood SDA church is sad to announce the passing of our dear Vernon Hilbers. Our deepest sympathies go out to Dave Hilbers and family.
The Cottonwood Church lost three of our finest members recently in the
passing of Kathleen Hilbers, Irene Farver and Roger McClanahan.

Irene Farver's Celebration of Life Memorial Service will follow church service on Saturday, May 1 at 12 noon. Irene will be greatly missed. May we meet again with Jesus in the Holy City. We extend our sympathies to Jan and Lahna.

Pastor and Carol Lawson have accepted the call of the Georgia-Cumberland Conference to pastor the Mountain City and Roan Mountain district in Northeastern Tennessee. We wish the Lawson's Gods blessing in their new location.
