ANGELS on the Colorado prairie

My grandparents homesteaded on the prairie in Colorado.  You will learn about our family history with angels.

My grandmother read her Bible, and was impressed with the texts about the Lord's day being on the Seventh day.  She asked her Presbyterian pastor why they went to church on Sunday when her Bible said that the Seventh day, Saturday is the blessed Sabbath day.  Exodus 20:8-11   The pastor told her that the church changed it and other  things that did not satisfy her interest.  She looked in the Bible and could not find this teaching anywhere in the Bible.  She continued to read her Bible, praying and looking for texts on the Sabbath.  She was reading her Bible in her house on the prairie where she lived when a tree outside glowed white and a figure like an angel stepped out and walked near her window with a rod in hand. The angel used the rod to draw a map in the sand and said, "Go to this certain place in town and they will answer your prayers about the Sabbath."  They lived on the prairie out of town and went to town on occasion to buy provisions.  The family went to the address on the map and met an Adventist family. They told her about the Sabbath message and the Adventist Church.

Later my grandfather went to plow the field and needed to install the disker, but another implement, the cultivator or plow was bolted onto the hitch where he needed to install the disker.  The bolt holding the other implements was stuck on tightly and he could not remove them  to be able to install the disker.  He had a horse drawn plow and disker.  He called several farmers over and together they pulled with all their might and could not loosen the bolt holding the implement onto the hitch.  He would plow the ground first, then use the disker or disk harrow to smooth it out, then used the cultivater to  plant the seed.

The farmers left and my grandma who was setting nearby prayed for God to help them. The angel came over and took the tools and loosened the bolt and took it off and set it near the plow. My grandfather came back, saw the bolt loose, and asked my grandma, did you  take the bolt loose? She said no, but the angel did.

You get an idea of how my grandfather farmed as you watch this you tube video.
